Wedding Theme Ideas: Magical Winter Wedding
Do you remember the winter at Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe? Do you and your couple enchanted by the white snow, and beautiful snowflakes in kingdom of Narnia? Though we’re in a tropical country, don’t worry; the beautiful and magical winter can still be your wedding theme.
To make the kingdom of Narnia come to life, we have to use colors such as white, silver, ice blue, and sapphire blue. So, decorate the reception site with these colors. Pick an indoor reception site, since we’re in rainy season and the weather outside is rather cold. Put an ice carve of your initial at the front door. Hang over various sizes of ice blue and silver snowflakes ornaments from the ceiling. Cover the table with a sapphire blue tablecloth and set a candle on the table. Candle brings a warm ambience in the room, and adds up “romantic” side of the wedding. For the flowers, I suggest using white rose (means purity, truth, and happy love) and white chrysanthemum (means truth, loyal love). Use it in wedding bouquet, the groom’s boutonnière, and decorate your reception site with these flowers.
Then, we’ve got to think about the attires. The bride will look beautiful in white long silk dress with a white fur or faux fur wrap. To add a little touch of glamour, wear diamond jewelries in winter shapes and colors. While, the groom will look great in white tuxedo and white rose boutonnière.
For the food, feel free to choose around the menu that you like, but consider serving hot chocolate to warm and comfort your guests. And about the wedding cake, try a white, vintage-style cake, dusted with edible silver powder, and decorated with sugar sculptures.
