In theory, this is a wonderful and beautiful idea.

However, Betta splendens are tropical fish, and they DO need a heater. The water temp should be around 77 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. They should also be kept apart, as the will attack and fight eachother.

Stress is also a factor. Vibrations from music and table motion can cause stress, as well as tapping on the glass and having people pour things into the bowl. Sometimes, stress will cause them to bite their own tail, and can be fatal.

The water must also be safe for them. You need to have the right temp, pH, and you need to condition the water.

All in all, Live animals are not ment to be decor. If your wedding colors were black and white, you wouldn't keep Dalmatian puppies in cages as decor, would you? Instead, use flowers, shells, glass stones, floating candles, etc.. instead of fish.
